U.S. Theatrical Premier of Adam Ant documentary

Lakeshore Record Exchange and the Memorial Art Gallery announce the February film in the Alternative Music Film Series:

The U.S. Theatrical Premiere of Adam Ant - The Blueblack Hussar

Rochester, NY February 19, 2014 -
On Thursday, February 26th, Lakeshore Record Exchange in conjunction with The Memorial Art Gallery, debut the next film in the Alternative Music Film Series:
The U.S. Theatrical Premiere of Adam Ant - The Blueblack Hussar

In the 1980s, the iconic pop star, Adam Ant, was at the height of his fame, universally recognized by the white stripe painted across his face and the striking imagery of Prince Charming and The Dandy Highwayman. Then tragedy struck and after a nervous breakdown, he found himself sectioned, locked up, forcibly sedated; living in a state of artistic oblivion.
This is the story of his brave return from exile.
The Blueblack Hussar follows him on his first tour in fifteen years and in his new persona. The film includes live performances and intimate, revealing scenes. Along the way, he meets up with actress Charlotte Rampling, who inspired his first album Dirk Wears White Sox , the music producer Mark Ronson and his mentor, the artist Allen Jones. The director, Jack Bond, has made a compelling portrait of a truly unique artist. (99 min)
There will be a very limited number of an exclusive special exclusive Adam Ant poster available for purchase.

Film at 7:00 PM in the Auditorium. Previews at 6:45.
$10 INCLUDES GALLERY ADMISSION!
